The Tamarindo Estuary Boat Tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the mangrove ecosystem while observing the abundant wildlife of Costa Rica's tropical dry forest. As you cruise through the estuary, you'll learn about the importance of the mangrove forest and its role in supporting diverse plant and animal life. During the boat ride, you may see iguanas, crocodiles, and a wide variety of wading birds up close in their natural habitat. Halfway through the tour, there is an opportunity to step off the boat and enter the national park. Here, you can observe howler monkeys, raccoons, numerous species of crabs, and other exotic animals living in the treetops above. Transportation to the tour, bottled water, and fruit are included. Complimentary transportation is provided within the Tamarindo and Langosta areas. Tour schedules vary daily depending on tide conditions, so advance coordination is required.
